My first solo recording was built around the idea of performing works by composers that would be familiar to a general classical audience.
Sadly, most trombone repertoire is unknown beyond the world of trombonists. Music here was written originally for Violin, Cello, Voice, and Tuba, the closest relative to the Bass Trombone.
I think they transition well to the instrument and could earn acceptance into the performance considerations of other trombonists.
I was also able to include my colleagues from the St. Louis Symphony Trombone section, Tim, Steve, and Jon, along with Pianist Peter Henderson. I am grateful for their artistry
